“France stands by Tunisia, remains willing to carry out development projects, especially in interior regions”, says Manuel Valls

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said France stands by Tunisia “in this delicate stage”, voicing his country’s will to develop bilateral cooperation in all fields, when meeting Tunisian President Beji  Caid Essebsi.

Valls, who is chairing a high-level delegation, namely the President of the French National Assembly and a number of political and economic figures, to the International Investment Conference “Tunisia 2020” (November 29-30 in Tunis), said his country is ready to work on major development projects, mainly in the inland regions.

Essebsi and Valls reasserted the need to intensify efforts and strengthen cooperation in the fight against extremism and terrorism that threaten the security and stability of the region. They also laid emphasis on the need to find a solution to the Libyan crisis.
