Tunisia: net foreign currency assets decline to 12.1 billion dinars by late January

Tunisia’s net foreign currency assets decreased to 12.1 billion dinars at the end of January 2017, from 13.3 billion at the end of January 2016, covering 105 days of imports (compared with 121 days of imports in January 2016), Ilboursa reported.

Cumulative tourism earnings are of the order of 75.4 million dinars against 72.5 million dinars in 2016, i.e. a slight increase of 2.9 million compared to January 2016.

As for the service of accumulated external debt, it amounts to 180.5 million dinars against 147.5 million dinars a year before.
