The Sports Marketing and Investment Company in Africa will organize the first championship of ”Arab brotherhood diplomacy” through a soccer mini-tournament among Arab embassies accredited to Tunisia, under the auspices of ambassador of the Custodian of the two holy Mosques his Excellency Mohamed Bin Mahmoud Al Ali, on March 18 to 26.
At the inauguration of this sports event, a ceremony was organized at the Saudi Embassy to Tunisia on Tuesday, 14 march, with attendance of heads of the diplomatic missions, a representative of Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a numbers of athletes and journalists, and supporting actors for this event.
Taking the floor, his Excellency Mohamed Bin Mahmoud Al Ali pointed out that the first session will strengthen the brotherhood and rapprochement between Arab diplomats in Tunisia. It also provides the opportunity for the entertainment of the representatives of Arab diplomatic missions.
He also expressed his thanks for the actors supporting this event as well as for the participation of the Arab Embassies.
For his part, General-Director of Arab and Islamic Department of Tunisian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Mohamed Samir Koubaa praised the initiative of his Excellency Mohamed Bin Mahmoud Al Ali in organizing this championship, which will serve as a means to bring together the Arab diplomats and boosting Arab brotherhood.
Besides, he commended the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support provided to this sports and entertainment event and energizing the Arab diplomatic relations.
This ceremony was an occasion to set the draw for the 12 competing teams, which were distributed into four groups. The first match will be played on Saturday March18.
Such a great sport event deserves attention and follow-up of the media to become a sports tradition in the Arab capitals.
