Security Council has extended sanctions on illegal oil exports from Libya to cover refined petroleum products as well, in a bid to stem rampant smuggling of subsidized fuel by sea, according to Reuters. Wazin town to launch soilless farming project

A new project in agriculture technology known as the soilless farming (hydroponics) is to be launched in Wazin, a town in the western region of Libya that serves as a border crossing with Tunisia. Report says half of Africa facing “serious levels of hunger”

Twenty-eight African countries fall into the “serious levels of hunger” category, according to a Global Hunger Index (Africa Edition) report released in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Sunday. Only three of Africa’s 54 countries – Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco – are considered to have low levels of hunger, the report said. Nordic countries lift travel ban to Tunisia

Three Nordic countries have lifted their travel ban to Tunisia, the Tunisian foreign affairs ministry announced yesterday. The countries include Denmark, Norway and Iceland.
