Tunisia ranked 85th in Intellectual Capital Index

Tunisia was ranked 85th out of 128 countries in the Intellectual Capital Index. It is ahead of Morocco (94th), Algeria (98th) and Egypt (103rd).

The first Arab country in this index is the United Arab Emirates (49th), followed by Qatar – 60th, Saudi Arabia (62nd), Kuwait (63rd), Bahrain (65th), Oman Jordan (80th) and Lebanon (100th).

The index assesses countries’ capacities to take advantage of the knowledge economy by referring to their environment for education, creativity and talent attraction.

Most of the criteria include creativity in education and talent attraction, and the stock of “resourcefulness” by measuring the potential of those who are most likely to “broaden the frontier of knowledge and / or to introduce technology and innovations in the knowledge economy “.

Rather than relying on average school performance in the form of standardized test results, which are too often used for various studies, emphasis is placed on the quality of education as it measures the progress of cognitive skills through the cycle of human life, promotes the best performers, and the migration of talent to acquire human capital.
