Palestine
According to the UNWTO, Palestine (above) will attract around 630,000 holidaymakers over the course of 2017 – over 50 per cent more than in 2016.
Banksy opened a hotel on the West Bank that will have done its bit to attract tourists, but there was already plenty of interest from international visitors.
Hiking trips across the Judean desert, trips to Bethlehem and Bedouin treks are extremely popular among holidaymakers.
