The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has revealed to the Telegraph the fastest growing tourist destinations of the year so far, and there are plenty of locations that would spice up any traveller’s Instagram feed.
From Vietnam to Palestine, there is something for everyone – from beaches to Banksy-inspired hotels.

Palestine
According to the UNWTO, Palestine (above) will attract around 630,000 holidaymakers over the course of 2017 – over 50 per cent more than in 2016.
Banksy opened a hotel on the West Bank that will have done its bit to attract tourists, but there was already plenty of interest from international visitors.
Hiking trips across the Judean desert, trips to Bethlehem and Bedouin treks are extremely popular among holidaymakers.
Egypt
But a number of terror attacks in the last couple of years hit the holiday industry hard.
While the UK government still prevents flights to Sharm El Sheikh, tourists are now heading to spots like Hurghada on the Red Sea instead.
According to the UNWTO the country will attract around 8 million tourists this year.
Northern Mariana Islands
The Northern Mariana Islands are a chain of 14 tropical islands in the Pacific Ocean that are in the US Commonwealth.
30 per cent more tourists have been flocking to the islands this year compared to last, attracted by the beautiful beaches, mountainous landscape and great coral reef diving.
Iceland
Iceland isn’t an unknown tourist destination, in fact, the country is so concerned about the number of visitors that it is getting that it is considering introducing a tourism tax.
The number of tourists that have visited this year is already up by 35 per cent on last year, driven in part by the popularity from the Game Of Thrones.
Tunisia
Flights to resorts in Tunisia have been banned since 30 Brits were killed during an attack by an Islamic State extremist in Port El Kantaoui in 2015.
But the country is back open for business from British holidaymakers, after the Foreign Office lifted its restrictions against travel to the country late last month.
According to figures from the UNWTO, the country is expected to see an increase of more than 30 per cent in tourists compared to last year.
Vietnam
Vietnam has long been a pit stop for the long distance traveller, providing a less touristy alternative to the popular Thailand.
Fascinating culture, great food and incredible scenery make it a firm holiday favourite that will only grow in popularity.
According to the UNWTO, the country is expected to receive more than 13 million visitors over the course of 2017.
