Tunisia’s economy grew 1.9 % in 2017, 1 % in 2016

The Tunisian economy has reached a growth rate of 1.9%, for the whole year 2017, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced. On a year-over-year basis, gross domestic product (GDP) grew 2.0% in the fourth quarter of 2017, over the same quarter of 2016, and 0.8% from the third quarter of 2017. Value added of the manufacturing industries leaped 1.4% in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared with the same period in 2016, but fell  2.4% compared to the third quarter of 2017.
