The Tunisian American Young Professionals Association (TAYP) is organising its first retreat on April 28-29, 2018 in New York, at the prestigious Glen Cove Mansion Hotel, TAP reports.
With the overarching theme of “Activating the Tunisian Diaspora in the US”, the retreat provides a space for the Tunisian community in Canada and the United States to take stock of its achievements and to brainstorm on how the diaspora can contribute to sustainable economic and social development in Tunisia, the source added.
The event will provide a unique opportunity to gather the Tunisian diaspora in the US and Canada from across professional sectors, regions and age groups to spend quality time together, exchange ideas and build a strong professional network.
The programme will include 4 workshops on themes related to export, entrepreneurship, education and exchange between Tunisia and North America.
Several senior executives and entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley, Seattle, California, Texas, Washington DC, and Montreal working for companies as prestigious as Apple, Amazon, Ebay, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and Bloomberg are already introduced into the programme, according to the source.
The event will be attended by a delegation of businessmen and entrepreneurs based in Tunisia.
The Tunisian delegation will therefore be able to take advantage of TAYP’s network in North America to build partnerships and open new markets.
Sports and cultural activities for children and adults will also be there.
Registrations are open on the following site: http://tayp.org/tayp-retreat.
