Prosecutors from Libya and Tunisia exchange experiences on justice for children systems

The German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development sponsored a workshop that included judges and prosecutors from Libya and Tunisia as part of the south to South cooperation between both countries.

The workshop was held on Friday in Tunis, with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and aimed to develop learning and share experiences related to child friendly-court, and the human resources required to protect children in contact with the law, whether they were victims, witnesses or accused.

UNICEF’s Special Representative for Libya Abdul Rahman Ghandour stated “fighting injustice and ill practices against children in contact with the law is only possible through policy reforms and a system that incorporates all actors of justice.”
