DW Akademie launches MEDIA LOVES TECH in Tunis

Digital solutions for viable journalism in Tunisia

The MEDIA LOVES TECH Conference started on Monday, October 22, 2018, in Tunis with the participation of world-renowned lecturers at the initiative of  DW Akademie in partnership Al Khatt organization.

Being held for the first time in Tunisia, this event is a competition which is seeking to identify the best digital concepts for an innovative and high-quality journalism.

The MEDIA LOVES TECH event is a propitious opportunity for the Journalists, startuppers, developers, designers, associations and bodies to take stock of innovative journalism with digital concepts for high-quality journalism in Tunisia.

The MEDIA LOVES TECH conference is sponsored by the German Cooperation and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The best digital innovation for the Future of journalism in Tunisia will be awarded 30,000 Tunisian dinars, after taking part in a Hackathon to be held on October 25- 27, during which a prototype of the projects selected will be implemented.

Then, the promoters of the project will be provided mentoring by experts in media and technology.

The closure ceremony is due on December 4, 2018, with the presentation of the finalized projects and the Prize award.
