Besides, the visit of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will open new prospects in the relations between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.  The latter has always backed Tunisia and its people especially in hard circumstances.

The Custodian of the two holly Mosques is leading the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to a comprehensive development and achieving regional and global leadership, while continuing the process development and prosperity.

The Saudi Arab leader achieved enormous steps, in the same way as former political Saudi leaders, in leading the kingdom towards qualitative development leaps in all fields. In another connection, the state visit which is an opportunity for the Saudi King to attend the Arab Summit and hand over its presidency to Tunisia marks the full commitment to the same policy that features the kingdom founded by King Abdulaziz.

The kingdom remains with King Salman a fortress of peace and the key tenet of stability and responsibility in time of peace and when the stability of the Arab world and the Gulf region is threatened. The kingdom is mostly known by its humanitarian initiatives and approaches.

The relationship between Riyadh and Tunis is deeply strong and constructive throughout history and will continue to be further boosted significantly given the current level of cooperation confirmed by figures in all fields especially in the field of education translated by the increasing numbers of Tunisian guest professors in Saudi Arabia.

The Tunisian People still remember the first trip of former President Habib Bourguiba and his Foreign Minister Mohamed Masmoudi to Saudi Arabia where they met King Abdulaziz who granted them an important financial support which helped Tunisia to continue its path towards its independence.

The two countries preserve longstanding historical cooperation and share the same values in shaping their friendship and alliances on the basis of co-existence and cooperation and on the principles of respecting the international legitimacy in a complex and tense world.
