Tourism arrivals in Tunisia jump 17.4 percent

Tunisia recorded a 17.4 per cent leap in the number of tourism arrivals. 592,000 visitors arrived in Tunisia from January to March 2019, the Ministry of Tourism announced. Besides, hard currency tourism revenues registered a significant 35.1 per cent surge to stand at USD262.6 million during the first quarter of the year, the ministry revealed. Freedom of Press Index: Tunisia leading country in Maghreb

Tunisia ranked first Maghreb country favourable for journalists, on Reporters Without Borders (RSF) 2019 index released Thursday. It stands at the 72nd position over 180 countries featuring into the ranking. Tunisia with this new rating leapt its ranking as it held the 97th place on the 2018 index.
