Cairo Film Festival to close its 41st session on Friday evening

The 41st session of the Cairo International Film Festival, which kicked off on November 20 with the film “Irish” by Famous Director Martin Scorsese, will close on Friday evening.

The festival was marked by the screening of more than 150 films from 63 countries, including 35 films in its first international screenings in addition to the 84 films in its premiere in the Middle East and North Africa.

The festival also registered the organization of the festival platform “Days of the Cairo Film Industry” as well as a large number of seminars, lectures and training workshops.

The ceremony to be held at the Grand Theater in the Egyptian Opera House will be directed by Hisham Fathi, and presented by journalist Yasmine Taha Zaki, in the presence of the jury, elite stars and filmmakers, preceded by a short video reviewing the various events in the 41st session.

Director of the closing ceremony Hisham Fathi indicates that the ceremony will be simple and fast, and does not contain technical paragraphs as it was in the opening, and is scheduled to be limited to handing the prizes to the winners, while celebrating the jury committees, where the members hand over the awards, with the jury to announce the reasons for winning each award indicating that Nathalie Emmanuel, the star of the famous series “Clash of Thrones”, will have a special appearance during the ceremony.
