WWF launches call for applications for new label “Wild Tunisia”.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) North Africa, has launched a call for applications for the new WWF label “Wild Tunisia” whose deadline for receipt of applications is set for September 20 , 2020.

The “Wild Tunisia” project is part of the preservation of natural resources, the sustainable promotion of products and services in and / or around protected areas and areas of high ecological value in Tunisia by improving the socio-economic conditions of people in these regions, according to the website of WWF TUNISIA.

This new label also represents a great opportunity for many entrepreneurs, start-ups or other structures with a service project and / or local products (processing and sustainable development of agricultural products and / or forest, extraction of essential oils from aromatic and medicinal plants), around protected areas and areas of high ecological value that can increase their income, while preserving the historical, cultural and ecological heritage of their regions.

The WWF has furthermore specified that the entrepreneur, start-up or other structure must be located in one of the following regions of Tunisia, namely : Bizerte, Ben Arous, Beja, Jendouba, Nabeul and Zaghouan, Siliana and Kef.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to benefit from training and support to obtain the new WWF label “Wild Tunisia”, scheduled for October 2020.
