Tunisia: European funds to help MSMEs affected by COVID-19 crisis

The “Office de Développement du Sud” has decided to give part of the grant awarded by the European Union in the framework of the Programme « Initiative Régionale d’Appui au Développement Economique Durable – IRADA » (total amount: 650,000 TND) to support the MSMEs, EU Neighbours repiorts.

This initiative is in line with the consolidation of the Tunisian state’s efforts to mitigate the economic impact of the general lockdown caused by the pandemic, the same source said.

The following sectors are concerned by this grant: manufacturing industries, services, handicrafts and small trades, agriculture.

IRADA is a cooperation programme funded by the European Union and implemented by the Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment. This programme aims at contributing to sustainable and inclusive economic development and improving the employability in eight Tunisian provinces.
