Legatum Institute’s Prosperity Index: Tunisia ranks 96th in 2020 edition

Tunisia is 99th in the overall Prosperity Index rankings. Since 2010, Tunisia has moved down the rankings table by 30 places. Tunisia performs most strongly in Governance and Living Conditions but is weakest in Social Capital. The biggest improvement compared to a decade ago came in Personal Freedom. Tunisian fruit and vegetables to resume feed Libyan markets

The border post between Tunisia and Libya reopened last Saturday to let vehicles and pedestrians pass through since its closure in mid-March due to the pandemic. Besides, flights between the two countries resumed on Sunday that aired a breath of fresh air for Tunisia hit hard by a serious economic crisis.
