Saudi Arabia embassy in Tunis celebrates 92nd National Day of the Kingdom

Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, held on Friday a ceremony on the occasion of the Kingdom’s 92nd National Day, in the presence of Tunisian Minister of Defence, Imed Memmich, a number of ministers, senior officials, Tunisian politicians, ambassadors accredited to Tunisia, representatives of non-governmental organisations and bodies, major companies, media and cultural personalities, as well as a number of Saudi envoys and trainees.

Ambassador Al-Saqr delivered a speech in which he commended Tunisian-Saudi relations, stressing that they are solid relations that continue to develop in the political and economic fields to the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The Tunisian Defence Minister addressed the ceremony, during which he congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince on the occasion of the Kingdom’s 92nd National Day, saying: “This is a happy occasion where every Arab is proud of the achievements of the Kingdom to make it one of the leading countries in the world.”

He hailed the prosperity of Saudi-Tunisian relations in recent years under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his brother Tunisian President Kais Saied.

The event featured a photo exhibition of a number of the kingdom’s archaeological sites, recently designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) as World Heritage Sites. There was also an exhibition of traditional artefacts and tools from the kingdom, popular foods from the kingdom, as well as television broadcasts of folk songs and dances.

The Saudi Arabian culture bureau in Tunis screened a full documentary on the vision 2030 and what it provided for human capabilities, including strategy’s presentation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship program and put on display some of the most important Saudi books and encyclopaedias.

On this occasion, the Saudi company Sabic in Tunisia and Saudi air companies have contributed to the celebrationof this event by organizing an exhibition and offering some special gifts to the guests.
