Call for applications to the “Start’n’Trade” program

In a methodical approach designed to stimulate exporting SMEs and put them in touch with innovative startups, CEPEX is kicking off the “Start’n’Trade” program. Implemented by GIZ in partnership with the Ministry of Communication Technologies, this initiative aims to :
Facilitate collaboration between SMEs and startups.
Stimulate SME exports.
Create opportunities for startups.
Encourage the development of partnerships.
Encourage open innovation.

At the heart of the Start’n’Trade program lies the opportunity for the most advanced company-startup pairs, in terms of Proof of Concept (POC), to win one of three vouchers worth 10,000 euros.

ort sector plays a vital role in the development of the Tunisian economy. Digital technology is proving to be an invaluable lever for strengthening companies’ international initiatives. However, a gap persists between the flourishing world of technology and the traditional economy, despite the presence of some 1,000 Tunisian startups focused on digital technology.

The “Start’n’Trade” program is committed to reducing this gap by exploiting the potential of digital and technological solutions.
7 exporting SMEs will have the opportunity to participate in the program in collaboration with the PEMA project (Projet Promotion des activités d’exportation vers de nouveaux marchés de l’Afrique subsaharienne). The ultimate aim is to foster collaborations between these SMEs and the startup ecosystem, in order to boost their export potential and open up new business prospects and opportunities abroad, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.
