The Volants d’Or 2023: Celebrating Excellence in the Automotive Industry

A Prestigious Tribute was paid to Automotive Excellence at a ceremony marked by a festive and jubilant atmosphere held on Saturday, 24 February 2024, at the Hotel Laico Tunis to showcase the Tunisian automotive sector.

In its 6th consecutive edition, the Volants d’Or 2023 awards ceremony, a key event for the automotive sector in Tunisia, was an opportunity to reward the best-performing companies in the automotive sector in 2023.

Organised by TUNISIEAUTO.TN and ADCOM Agency, with TotalEnergies as partners for the third year in a row, this major event brought together many distinguished guests, including operators, distributors and various players in the automotive sector, as well as media representatives.

The Directorate General of the National Guard was awarded a Volant d’Or 2023 for Road Safety.

The Volants d’Or is an annual celebration of the major stakeholders in the automotive industry. The event rewards brands that have distinguished themselves in terms of customer satisfaction and performance through surveys and official statistics over the years.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ibrahim Dabbeche, Chairman of the French Association of Automobile Dealers and Manufacturers, which comes under the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Crafts (UTICA), said that 4.0 technologies are the key pillars of the digitisation of the manufacturing industry.

He pointed out that the combination of cyber-physical systems, big data, IoT, and cloud computing is influencing many sectors, including the automotive industry.

In addition, Ibrahim Dabbeche noted that the commitment to Industry 4.0, which corresponds to the fourth industrial revolution in the automotive sector, is an obligation. This industry refers to transforming factories and production facilities thanks to new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT).

“Today, the Internet of Things is the driving force behind Automotive 4.0. It is present at every stage of the production chain, from research and development to logistics and the manufacturing process,” he added.

The performance parameters considered are generally as follows:

– Service quality.

– Strategic know-how.

– Skills in management, sales, etc.

During the event, 27 Volants d’Or 2023 were awarded to the most deserving companies for the year 2023.

In addition to the many national media, the CGTN channel, one of China’s international media, was present to cover this 6th edition.

The Volants d’Or also took another step forward this year by opening up to Africa with a Volant d’Or 2023 for the best marketing strategy, awarded to Mr Jean Takrou, CEO of SADA Motors Chery Côte d’Ivoire.
