ICJ: “For Tunisia, the Zionist entity is committing genocide in Gaza” international law expert

For Tunisia, the Zionist entity is committing genocide in Gaza”, declared international law expert Slim Laghmani on Friday.

The Israeli entity, which has the power of decision and execution, is “deliberately” committing a massacre of Palestinians.

Speaking at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, the international law expert warned of the legal consequences of Israel’s policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territories.

For Mr. Laghmani, the genocide perpetrated by the Zionist entity is supported by legal texts, notably the so-called fundamental laws declaring Israel the “historic homeland of the Jews”, as well as by the practices of the Israeli army and security forces, and even by statements made by senior Israeli officials.

The expert stressed that Israel has gone “beyond its policy of occupation” by implementing discriminatory measures and waging a war of annihilation in the Gaza Strip since October 7.

“There is clear evidence of the extermination of Palestinians and the denigration of those who have survived as a group of stateless refugees”, he stressed.

Slim Laghmani has been appointed by President Kais Saied to present Tunisia’s case to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
