EU and Libyan economy experts meet in Tunisia

Libyan and European economy figures held a meeting in Tunisia on Thursday to review the necessary channels through which they can support Libyan Industry and Commerce Chamber via the EU funding program that is worth 7.8 million euros. The program is implemented by French experts and experts from German Agency for International Cooperation. Aid decided for poor as president meets with signatories of Carthage Document

(TAP) – President Beji Caid Essebsi and the signatories of the Carthage Document met on Saturday to consider an increase of aid for poor families in emergency talks in a bid to defuse tensions following anti-austerity protests. “We discussed the general situation in the country and the reforms, especially socio-economic, that must be adopted to overcome the current problems,” Wided Bouchamaoui, President of  UTICA employers association, told reporters after the meeting.
