(TAP) – Over 50 projects of public investment, private and PPP in the fields of digital economy, tourism, education, mechanical and electrical industries, health as well as textile industry, will be presented to participants and Tunisia’s partners at the conference “Tunisia 2020”, to be held on November 29 and 30.
The global cost of these projects is estimated at over 120 billion dinars (60 billion dollars). Tunisia hopes through these projects, to accelerate growth and create 400,000 jobs during the period of the Development Plan, according to the website “Tunisia 2020”.
The International Conference in support of economic, social and sustainable development in Tunisia, “Tunisia 2020”, expected to gather more than a thousand local and international companies, according to the website “Tunisia 2020”.
Organized by the Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation in association with the Foreign Ministry, the conference held under the patronage of the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia, aims to mobilize domestic and international operators, public and private and associate them with the objectives of the National Plan 2016-2020.
This plan to be exposed at the conference of late November provides several projects in key areas to strengthen the economy and meant to help the country achieve an annual growth rate exceeding 4% as of 2020.
Heads of state and foreign governments, as well as heads of international financial institutions are expected to attend the conference. According to the same source, 1,500 people and 150 Personalities representatives of 70 countries will participate in “Tunisia 2020”.
