According to Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) news Agency on the basis of the Interior Ministry’s statement, a new weapons cache was discovered on Sunday in the town of Ourasniya, near Ben Guerdane (Governorate of Medenine),.
The statement added that Gorjani anti-terrorist brigade and special units of Ben-Guerdane discovered a stock of RPG rockets, electric guns and weapons of war.
Another arms cache containing 2 RPG rocket launchers, 20 RPG rockets, 21 hand grenades, 10 anti-tank mines and 24 anti-personnel mines was discovered on Saturday in the town of Chereb Errajel, on the road to Zarzis in Ben Guerdane , the statement revealed.
The joint operations by Army and security units also uncovered a cache of weapons containing 3 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 54 ammunition boxes each containing 420 cartridges caliber 7.62 as well as 10 Kalashnikov magazines.
These operations confirm success of the Army and security to dismantle terrorism plots in our country and strengthen confidence among citizens.
