Office supplies franchise retailer Bureau Vallée has signed an agreement with a leading office products and stationery manufacturer in Tunisia to open stores in the country.
Bureau Vallée has partnered with Tunisia-based manufacturer Office Plast to develop the Bureau Vallée brand. Three stores are due to open in 2017 and the goal is to have a total of 25 stores in the market.
French-speaking North Africa (Tunisia) represents the latest region in the international expansion of France-based Bureau Vallée following moves into Spain, Belgium and France’s overseas departments and territories such as Guadeloupe, Martinique and New Caledonia.
Office Plast is the leading manufacturer of office and stationery products in Tunisa and claims a market share in its home market of 40%. It is also a major supplier of private label products, mainly into the French mass retail channel. The company listed on the Tunisian stock exchange in October 2015 and its 2016 sales are expected to be about TND14 million ($6.1 million) with top-line growth this year of around 12%.
