Hebreu newspaper Haaretz commented statement of Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi Conveying his wishes for the New Year to the Tunisian people on Saturday evening when he said that his government suspects Israel of being behind the assassination of aviation engineer Mohammed Zawahri on December 15.
Hebreu newspaper underlined that Essebsi’s statement was the highest-level indication that Israel was suspected of involvement in the attack. Hamas has previously pointed the finger at Israel.
Haraatz reminded of the responding of Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman s’ Far-Right, known for his hostility against the Palestinian cause and its defenders, to a question about the attack on December 21.
