A security checkpoint in Kébili was the target of a terrorist attack, on Saturday night to Sunday. One policeman died and another wounded along with two terrorists were killed in the attack.
The operation took place in Janoura, in south Kebili, in the southwestern Tunisia.
The policeman killed in the attack, Moudhaffar Ben Ali, aged 25, native of the village of Tombar in Kebili, had recently refused a mutation because he was expecting a baby.
The security forces, who responded to the terrorist attacks on motorcycles, killed two terrorists and wounded another.
Search operations are continuing in the area hunting down a fourth individual, said Mosaique FM correspondent.
