Tunisia: Libyan Airlines resumes flights to Djerba

Libyan Airlines has announced that it will resume its flights from Tripoli to Djerba in Tunisia, suspended for six years.

There will be two weekly flights to Djerba airport, every Sunday and Thursday, the spokesman for the Libyan company told the Libya Herald site. The first flight is scheduled for Thursday, April 6.

Although under normal circumstances it is easier and faster to travel between Tripoli and Djerba by road, the road is regularly blocked, whether at the border or near Tripoli.

There are several connections between Djerba and France, most of which are daily.
