Scandinavian countries lift travel restrictions to Tunisia

Three Scandinavian countries announced on Wednesday the lifting of travel restrictions to Tunisia, TAP learned from a responsible source in the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

They are Denmark, Norway and Iceland. These countries had taken a measure of travel restrictions for Tunisia in the wake of the Sousse attack in 2015, according to the same source.

A few months earlier, Sweden and Finland had allowed their nationals to travel to Tunisia.

Tunisia had repeatedly called for the lifting of travel restrictions imposed by some countries in the aftermath of the bloody attack in Sousse, due to the clear improvement of the security situation in the country.
