Holy Sith! The new Star Wars Hotel gives guests their own storyline

You’ll actually get to feature in a Star Wars adventure.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away one of the world’s greatest cinematic sagas was created by George Lucas. Well, Star Wars: A New Hope was actually filmed in Tunisia, England, California and other locations, but who’s judging?

Like many of you, as soon as we saw that glorious opening shot of Darth Vader’s Star Destroyer pursuing Princess Leia’s ship, we were absolutely hooked.

Aside from the ground breaking special effects, memorable characters and brilliant films ( cough, cough…The Empire Strikes Back), Star Wars has continued to resonate with new generations of film fans because of a very  simple reason, its story.

By balancing mythology, folklore, sci-fi, pulp cartoons, TV shows and comic-books, George Lucas has managed to take a simple story of good vs evil and make it universal. With 8 films so far and The Last Jedi on its way, there’s no other franchise that’s like Star Wars.

Who would love to be Luke Skywalker when he piloted an X-Wing for the first time? Fancy stepping into the Millennium Falcon and helping the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy, Han Solo?

Truth be told, we’d give anything to have Darth Vader’s red lightsaber as he hunts down some Rebel scum.

Well, if you ever fancied starring in your own Star Wars adventure, this news is music to your ears.

During their recent D23 expo in Los Angeles, Disney announced that their new Star Wars hotel will feature all of the following:

  • The employees (or ‘cast members’) will remain in costume and character throughout.
  • Each guest will get their own  storyline, which Disney specifically says will “touch every single minute of your day”
  • The hotel is designed to be a space ship.

Ok, we know that Jedis are supposed to be patient but we want this to be built right now. The Force is strong with this one!

Here’s a look at the conceptual art.
