41st session of Cairo Film Festival closes

The 41st session of the Cairo International Film Festival, which kicked off on November 20 with the film “Irish” by Director Martin Scorsese closed on Friday evening. The festival was marked by the screening of more than 150 films from 63 countries, including 35 films in its first international screenings in addition to the 84 films in its premiere in the Middle East and North Africa. “Student Entrepreneur” programme launched by Ministry of Higher Education

The Student Entrepreneur programme in universities and higher education institutions was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to support entrepreneurship and create projects in a student environment, starting from the academic year 2019-2020, The Ministry said in a statement. 15 MENA startups selected for “Pitch by the Pyramids” competition

Fifteen startups, including four from Egypt and two from Tunisia, have been chosen by RiseUp to take part in the “Pitch by the Pyramids” event.  The pitch event at the Great Pyramids of Giza takes place on December 8, aligning with RiseUp Summit 2019, with startups selected to take part after regional finals were held in Cairo, Dubai, Tunis, Amman, Ramallah, Beirut and Riyadh, Disrupt-Africa reported.
