Tunisia JOBS and CONECT sign agreement to support SMEs and create jobs

The “Tunisia JOBS” programme of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises (CONECT) signed a partnership agreement on Tuesday, in Tunis.

The agreement was inked by CONECT president Tarak Cherif and head of the Tunisia Jobs programme Danilo Cruz-De Paula.

The aim of this agreement is to develop small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to create jobs by establishing equitable economic growth and by empowering private sector companies.

Established in June 2018, “Tunisia JOBS” is a five-year activity to support SMEs and to create sustainable employment for Tunisians throughout the country.

The project delivers targeted firm-level assistance to businesses to accelerate growth and create jobs.

Additionally, JOBS improves the employability and skills of Tunisian job-seekers based on demand-driven enhancements of Tunisia’s vocational training system.
