Eni provides aid to support combating COVID-19 in Tunisia

Eni, through its subsidiary Eni Tunisia, has donated four lung ventilators for intensive care to the Ministry of Public Health as a contribution to Tunisia’s commitment to fighting the spread of Coronavirus in the country. Medical devices will be distributed as follows:

• Two intensive care ventilators to be sent to the “Charles Nicolle” and “La Rabta” hospitals in Tunis;

• An intensive care ventilator to be sent to the regional hospital of Tataouine;

• An intensive care ventilator to be sent to the regional hospital “Mohamed Taher Maamouri in Nabeul”;

In March 2020, as part of the RSE Tataouine consortium, Eni also supplied four other ventilators and other medical equipment for the public hospital in Tataouine in addition to providing food aid for families in need in the region.

Eni also provided food aid to the most vulnerable inhabitants of Tazerka, in coordination with the regional authorities of Nabeul, Eni website reported.

Eni has been present in Tunisia since 1961 and operates in the country’s Upstream sector, with activities concentrated in the southern desert areas and in the Mediterranean offshore, the Gas & LNG Power and Marketing sector, the management of the Transmed pipeline that connects Algeria to Italy through Tunisia, and in the Refining & Marketing sector.
