OIC S-G lauds the historic Charter of Makkah

Secretary General of the Muslim World League and president of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, received at his office in Mecca Province Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, accompanied by Secretary General of OIC’s International Islamic Fiqh Academy, Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano. 

The Secretary General of the OIC lauded the historical Makkah Declaration (The Charter of Makkah), which was sponsored by His Highness, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and initiated by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Muhammad bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, May Allah protect them both.  

The Secretary General of the Muslim World League, appreciated the OIC’s approval of the Makkah Declaration so that it will be used by religious, educational, and cultural organizations affirming that the declaration has been approved as a training document for Imams, particularly in countries that have Muslim minorities. He further added that the declaration is considered the most important Islamic document approved by all the Muslim scholars and Muftis in our modern age.

The Secretary General of the Muslim World League also received the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sheikh Husein Kavazović, who is currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the Muslim World League. During the meeting, several issues of common concern were discussed.
