Tunis will host the first IFRIQUIA ENERGY HUB from September 18 to 20, 2023, at the City of Culture.

This major event, which will bring together the energy community in Tunisia and Africa, is organised by the Tunisian Energy Professionals Association (TENS, Tunisia Energy Society) with the support of several institutional partners such as the Entreprise Tunisienne des Activités Pétrolières (E. T.A.P.), the Agence Nationale pour la Maitrise de l’Energie(A.N.M.E.), AGIL Energy, the Green Hydrogen Organization (GH2), the Association Tunisienne du Pétrole et du Gaz (A.T.P.G.), the Societe Tunisienne de l’Electricité et du Gaz( S.T.E.G.), as well as the Tunisian African Business Council (T.A.B.C).

Over the course of three days, speakers, decision-makers and participants of international renown will be discussing various strategies for improving energy security in Tunisia and on the African continent, as well as opportunities for exchange in relation to the new energy challenges facing African countries.

In addition to the CEOs of Tunisia’s leading energy companies, speakers at the first IFRIQUIA ENERGY HUB will include leading decision-makers from both Africa and abroad, who will be sharing their experience and expertise on a range of topics.
Thematic conferences will focus on energy efficiency and ways of reducing energy deficits by adopting public policies that promote the use of renewable energies.
The issue of non-conventional energies will also be raised at a round table to discuss the potential offered by Tunisia and the continent for this type of energy and the means of exploiting it while ensuring that environmental considerations are preserved.
The challenges of sustainable development and CSR approaches will also be among the topics that energy professionals from across the continent will be discussing during this first edition of the IFRIQUIA ENERGY HUB.

In addition, the use of green hydrogen and various sources of non-polluting energy will also be on the agenda for discussion at this first edition of the IFRIQUIA ENERGY HUB.

Through this first edition, the Tunisia Energy Society is seeking to bring together for the first time energy professionals from all backgrounds, including both fossil fuel and renewable energy professionals, to work together and reflect on ways of creating synergies that will benefit Tunisia and the African continent.

Finally, during this edition of IFRIQUIA ENERGY HUB, the prestigious worldwide organisation of petroleum engineers (SPE: Society Of Petroleum Engineers) will announce the creation of a Tunisia chapter. Its President, Terry Palish, will be attending and taking part in the IFRIQUIA ENERGY HUB.

The Tunisia Energy Society (TENS) is a non-profit, non-partisan Tunisian association whose aim is to promote good governance and support initiatives aimed at improving energy security and making the management of the energy sector more efficient and effective.
