A cooperation protocol on nuclear energy was recently signed between the Tunisian Association of Nuclear Sciences and Techniques (ATSTN) and the CHINA ZHONGYUAN ENGINEERING CORPORATION (CZEC). This cooperation was signed by ATSTN president Khaled Debbabi for the Tunisian side and by president of CHINA ZHONGYUAN ENGINEERING CORPORATION (CZEC) WANG Ying for the Chinese side. Efacec strengthens the electric power grid in Tunisia with 25 substations

Efacec is reinforcing its presence in the Tunisian market with a project that includes the construction and ampliation of 25 electric substations, six of which are new. This set of substations, in the scope of the contract signed with STEG (Société Tunisienne de l’Electricité et du Gaz), is part of the Tunisian Electric Power Transmission Network, Efacec reports on its website. Inflation rate falls to 6.5% in July 2019

The inflation rate has fallen to 6.5% in July 2019 from 6.8% in June and 7% in May 2019, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Monday. The INS reported that food prices rose 6.5% in July 2019, as egg prices went up by 16.2%, fresh vegetables by 12%, milk by 9% and meat by 7.6%. Tunisia sends more than 50 migrants back to Libya

Trade balance deficit stands at 22.2% in 2018 (BCT)

The trade balance fell over the year 2018, reaching a (FOB/CIF) deficit which stands at 3,457 MTD i.e 22.2%, with 19 billion dinars and 17.9% of Gross Domestic Product, giving a record that has never been reached before, the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT)revealed in its 2018 Report.
