President of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) Mohamed bin Obaid Al Mazrouei met recently with Tunisian ambassador Hashemi Ajili, accompanied by Maher Zaghouan, Consular Affairs Officer of the Tunisian embassy in Khartoum.
During the meeting, the ambassador praised the potential and prestige of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development and its projects that contribute to bridging the food gap.
For his part, the AAAID President briefed the Ambassador with the programmes, activities, vision, mission, objectives and investments of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development that exist in the Arab countries and the sectors in which they work and contribute to support and enhance food security.
He pointed out that Tunisia is one of the Arab countries that contributes to the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, which has a number of projects, including Marji Company for Livestock and Agriculture Development, the Agro Zitex company, the Tunisian Fund for Fish Breeding and Arabesque Company. He also said that the AAAID is looking forward to enter into more projects that support food security such as a potato seed production project, storage, packaging and exporting of vegetables and fruits.
