40th ISESCO Executive Council starts Wednesday in Abu Dhabi

The works of the 40th Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Executive Council will begin on Wednesday (January 29, 2020) in Abu Dhabi.

This session is of great importance, during which the Council has the powers of the General Conference, the highest authority representing the 54 member states in supervising the work of the organization and its public policies.

Director-General of ISESCO Salem bin Muhammad Al-Malik said that it is a pivotal session in the history of the organization, where its new vision will be presented to member states in the form of decisions and directions for action during the next stage, adopting more openness and cooperation with member states, considering ISESCO a home of experience for countries of the Islamic world, and making it a beacon of civilization radiation that strengthens joint Islamic action. and for this reason, the organization launched its centre for strategic foresight.

The council’s agenda includes the presentation of ISESCO’s future strategic projects and plans of action, including the new strategic vision of the organization, organization structure plans, the organization’s plan of action for 2020 and 2021, and the new medium-term strategic plan for ISESCO for the years 2020 to 2030.

The two-day Executive Council 40th session will discuss in Abu Dhabi several important organizational matters for the organization, including the new organizational structure project for ISESCO, the project to establish a development moratorium for ISESCO and the project to establish the International Advisory Council of ISESCO.
