Arab Monetary Fund to provide loans of 98$ mln to Tunisia

The Arab Monetary Fund, a regional lender, has agreed to provide loans of  $98 million to Tunisia to help it deal with the coronavirus crisis.

The loan agreement was signed last May 29 by Governor of Tunisia’s Central Bank (French: BCT) Marouane Abassi and AMF Managing Director

Abderrahmane Ben Abdella Al Hamidi, the fund said Friday in a press release

A loan of 59 million dollars (nearly 167 million dinars) was recently made to Tunisia under an agreement signed on May 20. It is designed to help meet urgent financial needs, the AMF said.
