Onboard, a Tunisian startup that transforms the customer support experience offered by manufacturers, using intelligent 3D manuals, has raised $175K from Kepple Africa Ventures.

Tunisian software as a service (SaaS) startup Onboard has raised $175,000 in funding, from Kepple Africa Ventures and other individual investors.

Founded in 2019 by Safwen Bouali, Cherif Redissi, and Amine Troudi, Onboard helps hardware/manufacturing companies transform their textual manuals to 3D immersive manuals, enabling them to offer instant customer support to their end clients.

Since its inception, Onboard has raised a total of $250,000 from multiple accelerators, notably Flat6Labs Tunis.

“We are really proud and excited to have people ‘onboard’ that believe in our vision and potential, we are definitely, with the support of our investors, solving this issue and taking manuals literally to the next dimension,” said Safwen Bouali, founder and CEO at Onboard.

The company will use the newly-raised funds to develop its SaaS solution and to extend its operations to the French and the European markets.

“Onboard spearheads a new era of manufacturing and assembly process with its unique approach to transforming the conventional paper manuals into 3D interactive experience. As an institutional investor from Japan, we are very excited to join the journey of Onboard and expand its innovation on a global scale,” said Satoshi Shinada, general partner of Kepple Africa Ventures.

The customer experience management industry is projected to log an annual growth of 17.7 per cent between 2020 and 2027.
