Tunisia asks IMF for finance programme

Tunisia has asked the International Monetary Fund for a new financing programme, an IMF letter seen by Reuters shows, and is preparing to start talks with the fund. An awareness campaign called Esshih was officially launched in Tunisia on April 8 to provide information on the risks posed by irregular migration to youths who could potentially undertake such a journey, to their families and to society as a whole.
