Kuwait is a prominent model for charitable and humanitarian action says Tunisian Ambassador to Kuwait

Tunisian Ambassador to Kuwait Hechmi Agili said that the state of Kuwait is a distinguished model for charitable humanitarian action underlining its firm position to answer the call of humanitarian duty by providing generous and permanent assistance to all the peoples.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday, after his meeting with Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Chairman Hilal Al-Sayer, Ambassador Agili expressed his gratitude for the association’s role in bringing relief to people affected by natural and man-made disasters.

He commended the efforts of the Society on the Arab and international level by providing emergency humanitarian aid to the affected countries.

The Tunisian Ambassador said that he discussed with Al-Sayer issues pertaining to humanitarian and volunteer work and ways to improve them between the two brotherly countries in addition to familiarising with the general activities of the International Red Crescent Movement and its assistance to Iraq, Yemen, Palestine and Tunisia.

In turn, Al-Sayer underlined in a statement to KUNA the importance of the role of KRCS in the service of relief and humanitarian action, in particular in Syria, Sudan, Gaza, Iraq and Yemen explaining that humanitarian action faces great challenges and stressing the need to make the most of all efforts and expertise.

During the meeting, Al-Sayer reviewed the humanitarian action and relief provided by the Society inside and outside Kuwait on the basis of the role it plays on all levels, expressing delight of the visit of Tunisia’s ambassador to the premises of the KRCS to learn more about the efforts exerted by the Society.
