A senior delegation from the EBRD Board of Directors will visit Tunisia on Tuesday 27 September to gain first-hand experience of the country’s economic and political development, EBRD reports.

The four-day visit is part of a regular series of consultations and will give shareholder representatives an opportunity to meet senior government officials and members of the business community, as well as representatives of international partners and civil society organisations. The Directors will also visit private and public projects financed by the Bank in Sousse.

The EBRD Board representatives will meet with PM Najla Bouden Romdhane, Minister of Economy and Planning and EBRD Governor Samir Saied, Minister of Finance Sihem Boughdiri, Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Elyes Hamza, Minister of Energy, Industries and Mines Neila Nouira Gongi, Minister of Transport Rabie Majidi, Director General of Euro-Med Cooperation and EBRD Alternate Governor Saloua Hsoumi Mejdoub and Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia Marouane El Abassi.

Since the start of its operations in Tunisia in 2012, the EBRD has invested more than €1.7 billion in 60 projects across the country, in both the private and public sectors, and has provided business advice to more than 1,600 Tunisian small and medium-sized enterprises.
