A Tunisian-Italian tourism event will be held in March 2024 in Tunis, with the participation of a high-level Italian delegation led by Italian Tourism Minister Daniela Santanche, the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts announced recently.
During the event, the Tunisian and Italian parties will sign a memorandum of understanding with the aim of boosting bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector. The decision to organize this event was taken during a working session held in Milan between the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mohamed Moez Belhassine, and his Italian counterpart, on the sidelines of the Tunisian minister’s visit to Italy from December 1 to 3, 2023.
This visit is part of Tunisia’s participation in the 27th edition of the “Artigiano in Fiera” international crafts fair (December 2-10, 2023 in Milan). The two officials also discussed opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the tourism and crafts sectors, particularly in terms of communication and promotion of the two destinations.
