Strengthening bilateral relations focus of visit of Indian FM in Tunisia

Minister of External Affairs of India S. Jaishankar pays an official visit to Tunisia from January 22 to 23 January 2020.

The visit of the Indian Minister of External Affairs is the first interaction at the political level between the Indian Government and the newly elected President and Government of the Republic of Tunisia.

During his visit, the Minister will meet with President Kais Saied, Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives, Rached Ghannouchi and  Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabri Bachtobji.

The Minister of External Affairs of India will also interact with members of the Indian community, members of the Tunisian-Indian Friendship Association, Tunisian businessmen, the press and other dignitaries.

During the visit, the Indian Foreign Minister expected to have broad discussions with the Tunisian authorities on bilateral, regional and international affairs. The visit aims at broadening, strengthening and deepening the existing bilateral relations between India and Tunisia.
